Shyam Steel Industries Ltd, a leading primary steel producer in India, is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a TMT Sales Head/Manager for the Karnataka region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, extensive knowledge of the construction and steel industry, and a passion for delivering exceptional results. As the TMT Sales Head/Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share in the Karnataka region.
- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
2. Business Development:
- Identify and target potential customers in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the industry.
- Lead negotiations and close deals to secure contracts for the supply of TMT Rebar and Structural steel.
3. Team Leadership and Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
- Set clear performance goals for the team and monitor their progress, providing regular feedback and coaching.
4. Market Analysis and Intelligence:
- Monitor industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Gather and analyze data to generate insights for informed decision-making.
5. Customer Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
6. Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for senior management.
- Utilize data-driven insights to improve sales strategies and tactics.
7. Collaboration and Cross-functional Communication:
- Collaborate with marketing, production, and distribution teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to align with product availability, delivery schedules, and customer expectations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience, with a focus on selling steel products in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of TMT Rebar and Structural steel products and their applications.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from market data.
- Familiarity with the Karnataka market and construction landscape is a plus.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
