Lead – Web Platform


The Role:

You’ll lead our Web Platform team, spear-heading our kick-ass CSX (Core Shopping Experience) on the web. As a full-stack engineer yourself, at Honasa, you’ll help build highly available and scalable system solutions that power our apps and interfaces.

You’ll help build the next generation one-click deploy Web Shopping Platform.
We are looking for smart, dynamic individuals with outstanding programming skills and a great passion for developing beautiful, innovative software.

Our React Storefront with the Magento Shopping Platform is the current stack, and we are on a mission to make this custom stack the best ecommerce platform, using it to help launch future brands with a click of a button. You will work very closely with the product, data and D2C teams to help make the D2C business the biggest contributor.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience and strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the Javascript object model
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying large scale applications in any language or stack
  • Strong in PHP, Javascript, Node, and Python. Proficient in any one.
  • Hands-on experience with React.js and its core principles is a must.
  • Ability to design and implement low latency RESTful services.
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel,Webpack, NPM, etc.
  • Knowledge of data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
  • Knowledge of newer specifications in ECMAScript (ES6, ES7)
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs & code versioning tool GIT.
  • Ability to design and implement low latency RESTful services
  • Conceptually familiar with a cloud-tech stack that includes AWS, Real-time message brokers, SQL, NoSQL, Continuous Delivery, Configuration Management.

● Good knowledge, understanding and experience of working with a large variety of multi-tier architectures

 

You’ll help the team in:

  • Charting the engineering roadmap for the web application and platform team
  • Helping build a stable and scalable shopping platform
  • Leading and managing a team of 10+ web developer
  • Enabling a repeatable web stack, managing multiple brands and their independent Store fronts as products
  • Optimizing and helping scale the existing Magento shopping platform
  • Building an in-house next generation shopping platform way more scalable than Magento
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
  • Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
