Director – Cloud Solutions


About the opportunity

As the Director of Cloud Solutions, you are responsible for the strategic and tactical relationship with customers and enabling their cloud success. In this cross functional and highly visible role, you will collaborate with MontyCloud’s top leadership to build the solutions and services practice as the key engine for the next stage of MontyCloud’s growth. In this pivotal role you are the champion for our customers across all our teams.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

  • Develop customer intimacy to fully understand their technical and business requirements as well as multi-year cloud roadmap, business case for change and deliver a tangible plan
  • Delight customers with consistent delivery of high quality of MontyCloud services and solutions
  • Continuously identify opportunities for MontyCloud to expanding value within the customers environment
  • Collaborate with the MontyCloud leadership team to build the solutions and services roadmap
  • Bring industry best practices and develop processes for best-in-class service delivery
  • Partner with the SaaS engineering team to drive automation of frequently used capabilities, bringing cost of operations down for customers
  • Participate in and learn from incidents (internal or external) and help design and implement secure & reliable cloud adoption practices
  • Develop deep relationships with the top cloud vendors including AWS and Azure to stay current on technology and certifications
  • Attract, engage, retain, coach teams of exceptional engineers and architects to create a CloudOps team focused on customer-centric products and service- including mentoring, recruiting, training and development, performance evaluation
  • As required represent MontyCloud at industry events and other public forums as the thought leader in the industry

Required Experience:

To qualify you have:

  • 10+ years of experience in implementation, design and/or professional services
  • 5+ years of experience in client facing cloud consulting roles in digital transformation areas
  • 2+ Experience leading large cloud implementation projects
  • 2+ Experience leading hybrid cloud and multi-cloud services enablement
  • 2+ years managing strategic client relationships (direct responsibility for revenue preferred but not required)
  • 3+ years managing service delivery teams at medium sized to large Systems Integrators
  • Experience working with customers, partners, and company’s cross-functional teams

What it takes:

To be successful you:

  • Are proficient in scalable cloud-based design techniques, architectures, and technologies
  • Have professional certifications such as SysOps, Cloud Solutions Architect, and related skills
  • Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels in the organization, technical and non-technical, both within MontyCloud and within customer’s organization
  • Are proficient in SDLC and DevOps/CloudOps practices
  • Bring best practices, metrics, and scorecards to measure, mentor and develop your team
  • Have knowledge and experience with information security compliance standards; eg. SOC, PCI, HIPPA
